this is my first roomate in san diego, reuben benson, (george benson's half brother). i was moving in from mpls to san diego back in '99. i learned plenty from this musician that played EVERY instrument you can imagine. who sat in sessions of classic jazz albums, and had MANY stories to tell. I recorded with him as much as i could. this is some psychedelic ROCK from REUBEN BENSON.

*when i asked him to explain why he called himself "Dave" to everyone he talked with, he told me "because back when Muhammad Ali changed his name in the 60's i wanted to show i didn't give a shit about religion, and i changed my name to a more standard "Dave" like I was already ahead of the curve". he was murdered in July of 2004. i have more material i will share at a later date.
